America’s Pharmacy approved through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program

AmericasPharmacy.com has been approved through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program. Earning approval through the .Pharmacy Program enables America’s Pharmacy to register a .pharmacy domain name for its website. A .pharmacy domain is part of a website's address like ".com" or ".biz", allowing consumers to more easily recognize www.AmericasPharmacy.com/ as a trustworthy place to shop and learn about prescription medications.  Additionally, because this "seal of approval" is the url suffix .pharmacy, it provides an additional layer of security and legitimacy to assure customers that America’s Pharmacy is a legitimate business.

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy created the .Pharmacy program to provide consumers with a way to easily identify safe and legitimate online pharmacies and pharmacy-related websites. Since .pharmacy is a verified domain, domain applicants must undergo an evaluation process based on 10 core safety standards in order to be approved.

According to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, of the 11,000+ websites selling prescription drugs that it has reviewed, they have found only 4% following the pharmacy laws and standards that have been established to protect the public. Additionally, nearly 90% do not require a valid prescription. Having a .pharmacy domain shows consumers is legitimate, since the NABP only approves companies that adhere to pharmacy laws in the jurisdictions they serve and where their customers live.

America’s Pharmacy Supports the Humane Society of the United States –

The website and pharmacy discount program AmericasPharmacy.com has become a supporter of the Humane Society of the United States.

Begun in in 1954, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), based in Washington, D.C., is an American nonprofit organization founded by journalist Fred Myers and Helen Jones, Larry Andrews, and Marcia Glaser. The goal was to address what they saw as animal-related cruelties of national scope, and to resolve animal welfare problems by applying strategies beyond the resources or abilities of local organizations.

“We are proud to do our part to help animals that cannot help themselves,” said Jon Jensen, General Manager of America’s Pharmacy. “As a company dedicated to the health of all residents of the United States, we are glad to be able to help support the health of our country’s animals as well.”

The mission of the Humane Society of the United States includes the rescue and care for thousands of animals every year through its animal rescue team’s work and other hands-on animal care services. It has programs that provide veterinary care and other animal services to inner cities, and a veterinary affiliate that provides these services to Native American reservations. It also runs wildlife sanctuaries in more than 35 states.

Every year it seems that prescription medicine gets more expensive — for people and for animals. Particularly for those not covered by insurance. Even though insurance companies negotiate lower rates with pharmacies (and pass on savings to their members) we at America’s Pharmacy negotiate lower prices for everyone, regardless of their insurance status. We believe everyone in the US – people and animals – are entitled to affordable prescriptions.
